Performance

There are three powertrains available to Downingtown shoppers. All of them are based on the same four-cylinder engine. The base engine, the T5, has a turbocharger and produces 250 horsepower. That is good for a small car, but the next two engines are notable improvements. The second option is the T6. It is the same engine as the T5, but it adds on a supercharger, which increases the horsepower to 316. The supercharger provides faster acceleration at lower speeds as well, so its range of top performance is wider than if it only had the turbocharger.

The third powertrain is the Re-Charge T8. It uses the same base engine, but it adds on a hybrid electric motor. This increases the horsepower to 400 and also reduces the gas mileage. All three of the engines have the same transmission, an automatic with eight speeds. Exton shoppers can select powertrains independently of trims, so that leaves you free to pick any engine separately from the tech and comfort features. It is up to you to decide which engine is the best for you, but upgrading to at least the T6 is a great idea because the power increase and the supercharger's low-end coverage give the S60 a welcome sporty feel. The handling is smooth and cushioned, so you won't feel rough roads around Glen Mills.

Trims

The Volvo S60 has three different trims available near Kennett Square, and they're named the same way as some of the other Volvo luxury models that follow the same designation. The base trim is the Momentum. The Momentum has most of the features available for the S60, either standard or as options. The tech starts with a touchscreen, and you can connect a smartphone with onboard software, Bluetooth®, or USB ports.

There's a digital display for the instrument panel and a long list of automated safety and driver assistance features to stay safer in Coatesville. There are also some packages to add-- Multimedia provides navigation and a better sound system, Premium adds more sensors and other tech, and if you get both of those you can also add Advanced, which has adaptive cruise control and other automation elements. 

The second trim, the R-Design, has the Premium and Multimedia packages, Nappa leather upholstery, and some performance alterations to the look and design of the S60. Lastly, the Inscription trim adds a few cosmetic upgrades and allows for a new package with massage controls for the front seat.
